Sunday School (nursery – 5th)

Through fun, faith-filled learning experiences, children from birth through fifth grade are nurtured in their faith while building lasting relationships within the church. Our Sunday School classes provide a fun, engaging environment where kids can explore their faith through age-appropriate lessons, crafts, and activities.
Wonderful Wednesdays (k5-5th)
Meeting Time: 2:45pm – 5pm | Every Wednesday September – May

For elementary-aged children, Wonderful Wednesdays is a fun and faith-filled afternoon! Through games, creative activities, and a weekly lesson, children learn about God’s love through stories, conversation, and hands-on experiences. Each afternoon includes a snack and time to connect with friends in a welcoming environment.
Children also have the opportunity to participate in music through the Children’s Chime Choir (ages 4K–2nd grade) or the Asbury Ringers (3rd–5th grade), allowing them to grow in faith while learning to make music together.
Wonderful Wednesdays meets from 2:45 to 5:00 p.m. in the Education Building. Bus pick-up is available from Conway Elementary, or children may be dropped off by a parent or guardian. The program follows the school calendar and meets from September through May.
The Bridge (4th – 5th grade)
Meeting Time: 5:30pm every Sunday | September – May

The Bridge is a fun, faith-filled Sunday night experience for 4th and 5th graders, meeting from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.! Designed as a bridge between children’s ministry and youth, this program helps older kids grow in confidence as they take the next step in their faith journey. Each Sunday kicks off with a shared meal alongside the youth—because food and fellowship make everything better! From there, Bridge kids dive into engaging lessons about God’s love, service, and mission, mixed with games, laughter, and meaningful conversation. Along the way, kids enjoy fun outings and hands-on mission
Vacation Bible School (4k – 5th)
Meeting Time: June 22 – June 25 | 5:30pm – 7pm

Each summer, First UMC Children’s Ministries welcomes children ages 4K through Grade 5 for an exciting week of Vacation Bible School!
VBS is a fun-filled, faith-centered experience where children grow in their understanding of God’s love through music, engaging Bible stories, creative arts and crafts, and high-energy games. Every activity is designed to help kids build friendships, explore scripture, and experience the joy of faith in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Each evening begins with dinner for all children and volunteers, followed by large-group worship and age-level rotations where kids dive deeper into the Bible story of the day through hands-on learning and meaningful conversation.
