The Rev. Kyle D. Randle, Senior Pastor

Kyle serves at First UMC, having been first appointed in June 2012 after serving in Lancaster, Mt. Pleasant, and Seneca, SC. He is married to Nancy, and together they have two children, Jonas and Sara. They enjoy travelling and spending time at the beach. Kyle enjoys walking on the beach, cooking and being outside.
He holds a BA in English and French from Lenoir- Rhyne University and a M.Div. from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Kyle loves people, sharing stories, helping those who are most vulnerable, and seeing the light of Christ shine through others.
The Rev. Emily Kirby, Associate Pastor

The Rev. Emily Kirby, an ordained deacon in The United Methodist Church, graduated from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She currently serves as Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church in Conway and as Director of the Coastal Carolina University Wesley Foundation. Throughout her ministry, Emily has served in roles focused on youth, children, women’s ministry, disaster recovery, campus ministry, and congregational development, with a deep commitment to connecting the church and the world.
Emily is passionate about building communities of belonging where students, children, and families encounter the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. Her ministry centers on discipleship, leadership development, and helping others discover their calling in everyday life. She and her husband, Adam, her high school sweetheart, have been married for 15 years, and they are the proud parents of a spunky and wonderful son, Judah.
Ann Myers, Office Administrator

Ann joined the First UMC team as Office Administrator in October 2025. She previously worked with Conway Downtown Alive for 6 years. She is married to Charles. They have two daughters, Lila who lives in New York City and Aubrey, a sophomore at Clemson. Ann loves people and has a gift of making everyone feel at home. You can often find Ann on the beach or enjoying her porch. Stop by and say hello.
Jan Bitting, Business Administrator

Jan joined the First UMC team as Business Administrator in January 2026. She recently retired from County Solid Waste Authority for 31 years as the Director of Finance. She is married to Kent. They have two children, Emily McCumbee who is married to Michael and they live in Lincolnton, North Carolina, and Will Bitting who is married to Jordan and lives in Green Sea, South Carolina. They also have one beautiful Granddaughter, Ellie Jane McCumbee. Jan loves spending time with her family, on the beach and on their boat. Stop by and say hello.
Billy Fallaw, Director of Music Ministries and Organist

Billy has been a valued member of the First UMC team since 2008. He is a graduate of Winthrop University (B.M., Music Education, 1984) and Converse University (M.M., Music Education, 1991). From 2004–2008, he served as Organist for the South Carolina United Methodist Conference.
Billy is an active member of the American Guild of Organists (Grand Strand Chapter), where he has served in numerous leadership roles, including Founding Dean, Dean, Co-Coordinator, and Convener. His passion for sacred music has taken him abroad and across the country. In 1988, he served as a Chorister in Residence at St. David’s Cathedral in Wales, and in 2006, he was a Chorister in Residence at the Washington National Cathedral. From 1994–1998, he sang tenor with the Carnegie Hall Festival Chorus.
He is also a member of the South Carolina Fellowship of United Methodists in Worship Arts, the Association of Anglican Musicians, the Royal School of Church Music in America, the Greenville Choral Board of Directors, the Metropolitan Music Ministry Board of Directors in Charlotte, and the South Carolina UMC Commission on Worship.
A devoted father to Will, Ann Morgan, Ross, and Nealy Pate—and a loving grandfather to two grandchildren—Billy brings that same warmth and dedication to his ministry. He is always willing to spend extra time rehearsing with students and choir members. If you are at the church during the week, you will often hear him practicing on the Schantz organ, blessing the staff with impromptu mini-concerts throughout the day.
Gayle Fanshaw, Nursery Attendant
Gayle has been a member of First United Methodist Church since the early 1950s. She has taught many Sunday school classes in her 70 years at FUMC and is currently the Toddler/Nursery teacher.
She has one daughter April ( David) and three grandsons that she is extremely proud of. Chad, Grey and Wesley. Her greatest joys in life are children, the outdoors, and her faith. She loves to serve people and the Lord.
Lexi Holcomb, Nursery Attendant
Lexi joined the First UMC team in March 2025. She holds an Associate’s degree in Human Services and will graduate in December 2026 with her Bachelor’s degree in Communication, along with a minor in Marketing. Her educational background reflects her heart for serving others and her passion for supporting young children as they learn and grow. In her free time, Lexi enjoys concerts, traveling, shopping, and diamond painting. She loves working with children and helping them grow and thrive.
